A Tale of Two Political Minorities

First, think about what Harry Reid and the Democrats just did to shove ObamaCare up our collective wazoos, along with what Mitch McConnell and the Republicans DIDN’T do.

Then hearken back a few years when the shoe was on the other foot.

Harry Reid was in the minority and used every trick in the book to block confirmation of a number of conservatives to the federal bench. Republicans could have legitimately used the “nuclear option” to break Reid’s filibuster, but then Majority Leader Bill Frist wouldn’t pull the trigger.

Instead, John McCain and the Gang of 14 sold out and a number of high-quality conservative judges never even got a fair hearing, let alone an up-or-down vote.

And Republicans wonder why so many conservatives have left the GOP and gone “independent”?

Hey, guys. We don’t mind you losing the fight. We mind you not fighting the fight. Will you ever learn? Will you ever grow spines? Will pigs ever fly?

Exactly why my wife and I stopped contributing to the Repubs. They are embarrassing and it is difficult to defend them. The Democrat Party have become the scum of the earth – but it is difficult to support Republicans who won’t even support themselves. You still have John McCain and others going around talking about “Climate Change” and saving the planet by destroying our economic system. Here in California we already have “cap & tax”. How’s it working? While Schwartzie is flying around the country and the world (to Copenhagen) in his private jet, the state continues to decline. This “Republican” cares more about fake science than he does about acres of prime farming land that is turning into a dust bowl because of a 2 inch fish. So, what is the choice in parties. You have Liberal Democrats and Liberal-light Republicans. How do we solve the problem? Term Limits. And the discontinuance of Congressional Retirement. Make Congress what it was designed to be – Public Service NOT a Career Choice.
