I’ve been advised that Chris Comfort, the Greatest Nevada Republican Party Chairman of All Time (in his own mind) sent a memo to the Republican National Committee (RNC) after he was elected listing a number of people he told them they were not to contact.
I’m also told that list included yours truly.
I’ll have to ask RNC Chairman Michael Steele what he thought of the list the next time he and I have dinner together. I guess Chris didn’t know that Michael and I hail from the same state, Maryland, and I’ve known Michael since well before he was Lt. Gov. Steel or RNC Chairman Steele.
Chris Comfort is such a boob.
Meanwhile Chuck criticizes the Clark County Party for its plans to only support conservative candidates. Apparently the party should expend resources to support RINOs. Chuck Muth may write a million blog articles criticizing RINOs, but what does it matter if he doesn’t follow through. If Chuck thinks he can do a better job than Chris Comfort maybe he should step down from his soapbox and take an active role in the party. Registering Republican would be a good first start.

I have never criticized the Clark County GOP for supporting conservative candidates. I’ve criticized it for failing to effectively recruit qualified candidates while bickering over bylaws and Roberts Rules of Order and purging longtime conservative grassroots activists simply because they’ve been around longer than the “newbies.” So get your facts straight.
In addition, I’m working actively and directly with no less than half a dozen conservative candidates who are running against RINOs this election cycle. What are YOU doing…other than using my soapbox to defend Captain DisComfort?
Chris Comfort and the current Clark County GOP is an excellent example of what would have happened had to the party in 2008 if the Ron Paul people had been much more numerous and much less worried about black helicopter conspiracies.
