I feel the same way you do. They did not give anyone a change to express there oppositions regarding these smart meters. They just came around and started replacing the old meters with the new. Weather you wanted it or not.

So.... why did you post it?

Oh, yeah, because you're on the payroll of a Gingrich SuperPAC.

Stay Classy, Chuck.

Yeah, I don't see any reason to believe that there is any conspiracy behind this. The only problem I see is the logistical aspect. How does this effect the election of delegates? Are the people attending the later caucus only participating in the preference poll?

I suppose it probably doesn't matter in the end. Even *IF* this Adelson school thing was part of some conspiracy for the Gingrich campaign, it would be a drop in the bucket compared to the massive advantage Romney seems to have in this state based on his 2008 performance.

Good point.
I don't understand why ads aren't to the back of the sample ballots that are sent out. A mailing to citizens with the "guts" to at least register to vote would add value to access to such a mailing.
The added revenue would defer costs of special election.

What I find fascinating is the right-wing figures supporting Romney who go through some major pretzel logic stretches to justify their position. Ann Coulter kind of stands out in this regard. She is supporting Romney but in the usual specious nature of her view or reality she refuses to acknowledge that this means she is supporting the more liberal candidate. It clearly is the case, indisputably Romney is the most moderate candidate in the race. but since Coulter logic dictates that she can not support the liberal candidate it means that Romney is the conservative and Gingrich is the liberal! Thus is the tone of every article she has written over the past month and a half. They all read the same, something like "Mitt Romney may have had a history of doing liberal things for a long long time but recently he said some conservative stuff so naturally he is preferable over Gingrich who is more conservative but who I can point out once did something that wasn't completely conservative so I can just wave him away as being a liberal. Of course I am only supporting Romney because he is more electable but I can not come out and say that so the very order of the universe must be twisted around to accommodate the fiction I live by."

When Ralston asked her “Why are you running?” she responded that she is term limited in her current state senate seat! What kind of answer is that? Maybe Tarkanian *is* the stronger candidate in this race...

Holy crap! This post had fallen from the front page of Muth's blog and at first I wasn't going to hit the previous button to say if anyone else wrote. I'm glad I did. I got TWO responses! And one was anonymous internet troll no less! Obviously I can not respond to his or her comments so I will get straight to what mike schaefer had to say.

First, I will concede that on the day I wrote that comment I had read what could have been considered an excessive number of comic books.

Second, I admit my satirical news article from the future was a bit outlandish. I do not seriously think Tarkanian will become enraged because someone else gets the last lemon bar. However, what is worrying is that the occasions in which he has lost his cool are not so dissimilar. Read the link Muth posted about the First Friday incident. Then there is what happened when Tarkanian showed up late for a debate on Ralston's program. I commend you for sticking up for your guy (and not being looney in doing so unlike the Angle fans) and admittedly these two occurrances could be isolated incidents. But what if they are not.....

Mr. Burr should limit is writings to fiction; it is American to criticize our officials and our candidates, but it is silly to make-things-up. If Tarkanian is elected to Congress, he will
draw respect from both parties for his athletic history, his party will appreciate his good run
for US Senate, and he would never create a controversy in the House Restaurant or elsewhere unless there were some serious impropriety to address--such as Sinatra refusing to perform unless his friend Sammy Davis Jr. were given hotel access on-the-Strip(a story out of our history). Danny, and his prospective Democratic opponent, are both able men of fairness, decorum, and surely Mr. Burr is reading too many comic books.
