Gibbons’ Worst Appointment Possible

“Gov. Jim Gibbons intends to appoint his former chief operating officer, Dianne Cornwall, to the Nevada Gaming Commission when a seat becomes vacant in April,” CityLife editor Steve Sebelius wrote on Friday, adding that “sources who asked to remain anonymous say the appointment has been under consideration for some time, and that it is a common topic of discussion within the governor’s staff.”

Just when you thought the Gibbons administration was turning the corner and exhibiting signs of competence, this? Cornwall has no more business being on the Gaming Commission than Dario Herrera (even though he IS out of jail now).

Let’s hope the sane, adult folks now running the administration nip this dumb-ass idea in the bud….soon.
