It’s Jimmy Carter All Over Again

Over the weekend President Barack Obama called on the U.S. to lead the way in nuclear disarmament – on the same day North Korea shot a missile over Japan while continuing its quest for nuclear weapons.

And to top it off, today the administration announced that it was terminating production of the F-22 Raptor, the most sophisticated fighter jet in the world which is designed to defend the nation against rogue regimes such as North Korea and Iran if, God forbid, the need ever arises.

Forget Ronald Reagan’s “peace through strength.” It looks like Obama is hell-bent on taking us back to the “peace through appeasement” national defense policies which worked so well for Jimmy Carter. How long did the Ayatollah hold our people and nation hostage again?

Oh, and by the way – the decision to kill the F-22 will also kill an estimated 95,000 REAL jobs directly or indirectly tied to the program. I guess all those high-tech workers will have to be retrained on how to install weather-stripping on public housing.
